Dra. Cynthia Gutierrez, Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, Place 1 - elect and PSJA School Board Member
In the summer of 2025 Dra. Cynthia Gutierrez filed suit against PSJA School board members for bullying and corruption, including their unconstitutional and retaliatory ban against her from PSJA property and school board meetings for simply doing the job her constituents elected her for and asking questions.
On September 10, 2025, the Honorable Judge Rogelio Valdez granted Dra. Gutierrez’s request for Temporary Injunction in which PSJA School Board Trustees and the Superintendent were “enjoined and restrained from enforcing or attempting to enforce any ban, exclusion, or prohibition against Plaintiff’s physical presence on school district property, school district events, or the district’s facilities open to the public . . .” Defendants have filed an interlocutory appeal.

Adriana Aleman
In the fall of 2025, Samuel was co-counsel in the legal defense Adriana Aleman, who stood accused of Murder. After a week long jury trial Ms. Aleman was found not guilty of murder.

In June of 2023 Samuel Reyes was successful in a federal probable cause hearing before the Honorable Magistrate Judge Juan Alanis where Judge Alanis found a lack of probable cause in the government’s case against the regidora. She maintains that she was threatened by cartels and transported the drugs under duress.
