The Law Office of Samuel Reyes opened its doors to serve the public in February of 2010 in McAllen, TX. Since then, the firm has focused on delivering results for all of our clients in the practice areas of personal injury, criminal defense, and family law.
During the course of building up his law practice, Attorney Reyes has been privileged and very fortunate to have built strong relationships with clients whose backgrounds traverse the social, economic, and political spectrum. In addition, his active participation in civic and social organizations has allowed him to forge valued relationships with members of the legal and business community throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Samuel Reyes
Samuel Reyes was born in New York City to working immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic and Colombia. Raised by those hard-working parents in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, Samuel graduated in 2000 from Mission High School in Mission, Texas with distinguished achievement, and he attended the McComb’s School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 2004.
Samuel Reyes remained in Austin and attended the University of Texas School of Law where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2007 while working as a clerk for Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid. Since being admitted to the practice of law in May of 2008, Samuel has been an active lawyer representing hundreds of clients in criminal defense, personal injury, and family law matters in numerous venues throughout the State of Texas.
Samuel Reyes is dedicated to ensuring that each one of his clients achieves their legal goals and receives fair, just, and speedy resolution of their legal matters. Attorney Reyes has served as board member and Treasurer of the Hidalgo County Bar Association and Bar Foundation and is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He was admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas in 2010.
Attorney Reyes is also active in sponsoring and participating in local civic and service projects such as “CASA” (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and serves as Chief of Staff for the Hidalgo County Democratic Party. In May of 2023 Attorney Reyes was awarded the prestigious John E. Cook Pro Bono Award by the Hidalgo County Bar Association.
